We are pleased to announce that, as of January 2, 2024, Widalys Santiago Sosa has joined the Academic Success & Advising team as an Education Outreach Manager II (limited term 2 years). In this role, Widalys will serve as the Student Success Specialist for Retention & Completion Initiatives, providing individualized advising and outreach to students in high priority groups. Widalys has served as a Career Development Advisor for the Georgia Tech Career Center since September 2021.

In her new role, Widalys will support the Institute’s strategic goal of expanding student access by fostering the academic success and well-being of students from backgrounds historically underrepresented at Georgia Tech and students who present indications of academic distress. Widalys brings a wealth of experience from her time as Academic Advisor at Georgia State University’s Perimeter College and Atlanta campuses, where she supported diverse groups of students throughout their undergraduate experience by providing conscientious, individualized support to cultivate student engagement and academic success.

Widalys holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management with a minor in Marketing from Clayton State University. She is also pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Georgia State University.
