GT 1000
94 sections of GT 1000 were offered during the fall semester. (42 interdisciplinary, 28 major-specific, and 24 cohort/program.) The 94 sections had a total of 1,816 students, taught by 127 volunteer instructors. Of the 127, 84 were staff, 41 were faculty, and 2 were PhD students.
GT 2000
Due to the success of GT 1000, a new course, called GT 2000, was recently created for transfer students. During the fall semester 94 transfer students (across 5 sections) attended the course. Each section had Georgia Tech Staff as an instructor and upper-class Team Leaders.
Team leaders (TL's) are in integral part of the GT 1000 experience. And in the fall semester alone, 322 students volunteered their time in GT 1000 & 2000. 1000-level TL's work with the instructors and facilitate small group interaction for first-year students. 2000-level TL's are former transfer students and have unique insight to the transfer process. All Team Leaders offer mentoring, advice, and support throughout the semester
