The fourth annual Minor Fair and Showcase was held on October 17 in Exhibition Hall, allowing students the opportunity to explore over 65 minors offered at Georgia Tech. Academic advisors and student volunteers in each minor were present to answer questions and show off their programs with flyers, merch, and examples of student projects.
Students interested in pursuing a minor were able to “shop around” for programs that interested them, exploring different avenues of interdisciplinary study and advancement. After attending this experience, undecided students can confidently make more knowledgeable decisions about selecting a minor or certificate program that supports their academic goals.
For students with declared minors, the event served as a showcase for their academic success and an opportunity to advertise their programs to potential peers. This unique opportunity brought together advisors and participants to answer questions for students comparing minors and certificates to make more informed decisions about their academic plans.
We want to give a big thank you to Academic Success and Advising (ASA), Leadership Education and Development (LEAD), and the Ivan Allen College for their organization and sponsorship of this enlightening event.
