Pre-Graduate and Pre-Professional Advising celebrated students who applied for nationally and internationally competitive scholarships this year at the Spring Fellowships Reception, April 8.
At the event, Marshall Scholarship recipient Haaris Jilani urged students to be bold in applying for awards—even if they are not confident about their chances. Featured speaker Provost Steven McLaughlin echoed Jilani's sentiments, reminding students that they must set aside imposter syndrome to pursue opportunities and discover their own potential.
Prestigious Fellowships Advisor Karen Mura also took the occasion to thank the many faculty and staff who served on campus nominating committees and mock interview panels. Many thanks to our colleagues in OUE and throughout Georgia Tech:
