Director, Retention & Completion Initiatives
Anna Holcomb is a teacher, educational researcher, first-generation college graduate, and proud Yellow Jacket. As Director of Retention and Completion Initiatives, Anna provides leadership on Georgia Tech's broad student success strategy, supports the implementation of the Institute's undergraduate enrollment strategic plan to expand access, and supports a range of ongoing initiatives and special projects that impact retention, persistence, and timely degree completion. Anna brings a philosophy of holistic student success to her work that prioritizes student well-being in parallel to academic achievement.
Anna completed her B.S. in Public Policy at Georgia Tech in 2008 and returned to campus in 2010, joining the Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC). During her time at CEISMC, Anna worked on a several K-12 curriculum development grants, STEM outreach programs, and mixed-methods research projects while she earned her M.S. in Educational Research at Georgia State University (2013). Before joining OUE in 2023, Anna served as a Lecturer within the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) where she designed and implemented student success initiatives integrated within the academic curriculum.
Anna is a doctoral candidate at the University of North Georgia and plans to graduate from the Ed.D. program in Higher Education Leadership and Practice in Summer 2024.
