Career Center Staff with the NACE Awards

In April 2024, the Georgia Tech Career Center received three national awards for its AuthenTECH Partnership Program initiatives. The National Association of Colleges and Employers awarded two out of the five national awards given to Career Centers in the Career Services Excellence and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Excellence categories. The Career Leadership Collective selected the Georgia Tech Career Center as one of three institutions to receive a Career Innovation Award in 2024.

Over the past three years, the Georgia Institute of Technology Career Center has systematically cultivated meaningful programs and partnerships to address distinctive challenges our student populations may encounter in their career development journey. We affectionately call these efforts our AuthenTECH Partnership Program. Guided by the framework of Equal Employment Opportunity protected classes and assessing the student landscape at Georgia Tech, we instituted a staff liaison model to engage in concentrated efforts for our high-priority populations: LGBTQIA, First-Generation and Limited Income, Black, Hispanic/Latinx, Women, International, and Students with Disabilities. The goal behind the AuthenTECH program is to leverage our staff to provide population-specific resources, expand programming, and cultivate partnerships to advance equitable career outcomes for all students.

You can read more about the goals behind AuthenTECH in the National Association of Colleges and Employers article.
