Academic Program Manager I (Pre-Health Advising)
Brooke completed her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and her master’s degree in School Counseling, both from the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!). She began her collegiate career as an Academic Advisor in the College of Science at Florida Atlantic University. It was there that she discovered her interest in working with students pursuing a career in the health professions. Since then, she has worked with students over all of the health professions, including medical, dental, optometry, veterinarian, occupational therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, chiropractic, and more. She has led the Health Professions Office at The University of Alabama in Huntsville and most recently she worked at the University of Texas at Austin, where she grew her knowledge of the Texas Application Service (TMDSAS).
As Academic Program Manager I, Brooke will support the iGniTe pre-health cohort, manage peer advisors, and work closely with our pre-health student organizations, in addition to providing highly individualized advising for pre-health students.
When she’s not at work, Brooke likes to travel and explore new cities, embrace adventures such as caving and water sports, and relax with puzzles and board games. During the fall, Brooke spends her Saturdays watching UCF Football and her Sundays watching the Miami Dolphins.
